Year: 2022-23

In the year 2022-23, the government had allocated one lakh four thousand 277 crore rupees for the education sector. Which was much higher than in previous years. Rs 37,383 crore was allocated for the overall education campaign in the education budget. Apart from this, Rs 8,494 crore was allocated for IITs, Rs 5320 crore for UGC and AICTE. In the budget, provision of funds was made for the establishment of a digital university to promote digital education.

Year: 2021-22

In the year 2021-22, the government had allocated Rs 93,224 crore. In this budget, an allocation of Rs 38,350 crore was made for higher education and Rs 31,050 crore for school education. An allocation of Rs 1 crore was made to the National Incentive Scheme for Girls. Which was earlier around Rs 110 crore.

Year: 2020-21

Rs 99,300 crore was allocated for education in the budget of the year 2020-21. Whereas, Rs 3,000 crore was allocated for skill development. Apart from this, in this budget, the government had emphasized on the area of ​​skill development. FDI approval in education sector was also provided in this budget and online degree program was also announced.
